Savannah Magazine - Fall 2008

It was an unexpected move. When Gordon Matthews, a former president of the Historic Savannah Foundation, left his Jones Street home of 22 years, he might have retired to the luxurious Landings. He might have restored yet another downtown gem, but he didn't. Matthews struck out for new territory. In fact, you could say he went from preserving history to making it.

The South Magazine - February 2008

With over 32 years in the construction business, Mark Fitzpatrick has been an advocate for green building for most of his career. Matt West, on the other hand, is fresh out of the University of Alabama, and despite being the most recent addition to the company, is already LEED accredited and fast making his mark on the sustainable initiatives at J.T. Turner Construction. Together they represent one of Jim Turner's guiding principles, that "We're planting the tree that shades our grandchildren."

Coastal Living - October 2004

J.T. Turner Construction Co., Inc. was honored to be chosen to build the Coastal Living Idea House at Palmetto Bluff in Bluffton, South Carolina. The home was featured in the October 2004 issue of Coastal Living Magazine.

House Beautiful - September 2003

Most people don't begin decorating until they see a finished room – or at least a blueprint. Susan Weiss, on the contrary, prefers to work from the inside out. She furnishes first, then constructs living spaces as a frame for her treasured possessions. For example, long before she had selected an architect for her newest house in Richmond Hill, Georgia, Weiss had already bought a 250-year old English pine front door.
